Semester abroad in Europe


For a semester abroad in Europe, there are currently exchange cooperations with the following universities:  

Universidad Jaume I – Castellón de la Plana/Spain

Jaume I University is a public university in Castellón de la Plana in the north of the Valencian Community.

The university was founded at the beginning of 1991. On May 19, 1993, King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sophia laid the foundation stone of the current campus. In October 1996, the first section of the current Riu Sec main campus was opened. The second section was opened in 1999 and the last central university buildings on the Riu Sec campus were finally constructed in 2002.

University of Poitiers/France

The University of Poitiers, located in the city of Poitiers, is one of the oldest universities in France with around 24,000 students.

The University of Poitiers was founded in 1431 by Pope Eugene IV and King Charles VII of France. At that time, the university consisted of five faculties: theology, martial law, civil law, medicine and art. In the 16th century, it became the second most important university in the country after the University of Paris.

University of Ghent/Belgium

The University of Ghent (Dutch: Universiteit Gent, short: UGent), formerly Rijksuniversiteit Gent (RUG), is a state university in Flanders, Belgium. It was founded in 1817 by King William I to promote intellectual development in the southern part of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands, which later became Belgium. Today, the university has over 41,000 students, including around 1,100 from other EU countries and around 1,000 from non-EU countries. Excluding the University Hospital, there are around 6,800 employees at the eleven faculties, including around 920 professors and more than 1,700 assistants as well as around 1,900 third-party funded scientists.

University of Roskilde/Denmark

Roskilde University is a state educational institution east of Roskilde in Denmark. It is a member of the University of the Arctic (UArctic) and was founded in 1972.

The university offers Bachelor, Magister and Ph. D. degrees, is divided into four institutes and occupies approximately 50 buildings. There are currently around 8400 students at the university.
