Savitribai Phule Pune University/India

Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly University of Pune) is a public university in western India. It was founded in 1948 on the basis of the Poona Act. The 1.66 km² campus is located in the north-west of Pune, the second largest city in Maharashtra.

The university is one of India's leading educational institutions and comprises 52 departments, 6 interdisciplinary centers as well as numerous graduate colleges and recognized institutions. With around 500,000 students, it is one of the largest universities in the world.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education/India

The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) is a private university in the Udupi district of Karnataka, India. It has campuses in Mangalore, Bangalore and Jamshedpur as well as international campuses in Dubai and Malaysia. It was founded on the basis of Kasturba Medical College, India's first private medical college, established by T. M. A. Pai in 1953. The Manipal Institute of Technology followed in 1958. In 2020, MAHE received the status of an “Institution of Eminence” from the Indian Ministry of Education.
